The company is to showcase a selection of its innovative solutions in the mobility, security, energy efficiency, health, e-Government and sustainability sectors.

In the field of mobility, Indra will unveil its air traffic control solutions, which have made the company a world leader in this sector, with projects for the world’s leading navigation technology suppliers, including DFS (Germany's air navigation services supplier) and initiatives in over 80 countries. The Da Vinci system, one of the most advanced railway traffic management systems in the world, will also be on display at the company’s stand. It is one of Indra’s proprietary technologies, developed in cooperation with ADIF, and a product of the company’s heavy investment in R&D&i. This system has already been deployed in the London and Medellin metros, and is being implemented in Morocco to manage its entire railway network. Indra’s solutions also include intelligent transport systems, traffic management and ticketing systems.

Leading solutions in security, energy and health

As the leader in the development and implementation of coastal surveillance systems in Europe, Indra will also present its SIVE system (Integrated Exterior Surveillance System) in the area of security. This solution already controls 1,400 kilometres of the Spanish coast, 500 km of the Latvian coast and 250 kilometres of the Black Sea coast in Romania, as well as the island of Hong King and its archipelago of over 200 islands. Furthermore, it is currently being installed along the entire Portuguese coast. In the security segment, the company also has a great deal of experience in developing and implementing identification solutions, as well as control and security centres for large events, emergency services, large public spaces and critical infrastructures.

Indra’s own technological solutions for utilities and energy have been implanted in over 130 electricity, water and gas companies in over 30 countries around the world. Similarly, over 100 million clients are managed using systems developed by Indra, which is currently working on developing new technologies and solutions in the field of energy efficiency and sustainability. In addition, the company currently has several projects related to new intelligent infrastructures (SMARTGRID), which seek to create a sustainable, safe and economical development vector. CeBIT will also provide the company with a platform to showcase its work on developing charging points for electric cars.

The technologies and knowledge applied by Indra in its health initiatives are based on its iSalud platform, specialised in areas such as telemedicine, digital imaging, e-Prescriptions and e-medical histories, among others. The company will also display its medical digital imaging solution at CeBIT. This technology is at the cutting edge in Europe, and allows diagnostic images and reports to be digitalised, stored and then viewed from any centre connected to the system. At the company’s stand, it will be demonstrated how this system and the clinical history solution allow for a collaborative diagnostic process. The advantages of both the fixed and mobile format for clinical stations will also be shown, streamlining processes related to assigning patients, prescribing medication, issuing notifications and hospital visits.

e-Government: closer to citizens

Indra will offer demonstrations of several of its key solutions included in the e-Administration and e-Government areas. Visitors will be able to examine the company’s electronic voting machines, which have been used in over 300 electoral processes all over the world. Similarly, the company is due to present its groundbreaking e-Government solution, which offers digital services to enhance citizen participation, and its e-Report application, which allows a report to be processed digitally starting from a paper version.

In the educational field, Indra will unveil its educational digital content platform, Agrega, which aims to integrate information technology and communication into classrooms. This platform is being implemented in Spain and its code has been given to the UK government so that it can develop a platform with similar specifications, namely the National Digital Resource Bank.

Innovation and sustainability

Sustainability and Indra’s unwavering commitment to innovation, which has made it the leading European company in terms of R&D&i investment, will also have an important place at the company’s stand, which will display several of its solutions developed under the auspices of the company’s university chairs for research into accessible technologies. These academic chairs, financed by the company in collaboration with different universities, aim to develop solutions that facilitate access to technology and the integration of the disabled population, the ultimate goal being for them to become the international benchmark for collaborations and transfers of technology between universities and private sector companies.

Several of the more noteworthy completed projects include GANAS. It is an application that acts as a virtual interpreter of sign language, the HeadMouse project, which consists of a virtual mouse that allows the real mouse to be controlled through facial and head movements, and the VirtualKeyboard project, which allows texts to be written through any device which can control the cursor on the screen, such as a mouse, a joystick, touchpad or the HeadMouse itself.
