Indra, the premier IT company in Spain and a leading IT multinational in Europe, recently joined the Google Enterprise Professional Program, which will allow integration of this technology in Indras projects and solutions oriented to the management of documents and contents and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) market for large enterprises and organisations. Among other products, Indra will be provided with search technology and maps that Google has developed as a part of its solutions for companies ("Google Enterprise").
Indra is already working on the renewal of the search option in the Banco Sabadell Group’s corporate websites, among other initiatives. Within the renewal framework, Indra has incorporated Google’s search engine for enterprises (Google Search Appliance) which will allow users to search the Group’s websites, thus benefiting from its well-known velocity and power.
In addition, the alliance will promote Google map technology (Google Maps for Enterpris) for Indra’s solutions and projects regarding Geographic Information Management (GIS). In this field Indra carried out a global reference project by integrating Google maps technology in the website of the Spanish Department for Transport. This way, drivers have access to traffic management systems information, for instance; condition of the motorways in real time, images of stretches, weather forecast, among other advantages.
