Description of the Project
The overall objective of the project is to enhance the protection of financial infrastructure against illegal money and fraud by creating a holistic and adaptable framework that includes customers and financial authorities in an innovative triangular accountability model based on Blockchain technology. The framework will be validated in several sectors: banking, financial market institutions, insurance and toll highways. The solutions will rely on the following principles:
- Accessibility from anywhere and anytime by enabling mobile banking/insurance and IoT
- Data integrity and privacy by blockchain-enabled services
- Accountability by adding financial authorities actively within end-to-end financial e-operations for the sake of wider acceptance and against financial crime
- Holistic Security of Financial Critical Infrastructures at all levels by enabling cyber-physical security
