Born in Madrid on 4 October 1974.

Mr. Escribano is co-founder and owner, along with his brother Ángel Escribano Ruiz, of the company Escribano Mechanical and Engineering, S.L.U., founded under the name Mecanizados Escribano in 1998. He currently holds the position of Executive Chairman of the company.

Responsible for the transformation of a small machining workshop into a benchmark company in the development of technology and innovation for the Defence and Security sector at national and international level.

In 2011 he was the architect, along with his brother Ángel Escribano, of the company's great leap forward, achieved through a vertical growth strategy which incorporated design engineering for the full development and manufacture of complex defence systems, achieving record turnover figures and highly qualified employment in less than 10 years.

Until 2018 he was responsible for the internationalisation of the company, which earned more than 90% of its turnover in foreign markets. The consolidation of the company included investment in new facilities, machinery and new strategic capabilities up to the consolidation at a national level. The company currently participates in Spain’s most relevant national strategic Defence and Security programmes.

Javier Escribano has reshaped the company into an innovative market leader, with industrial and strategic capabilities that are unique in Spain, such as remote stations, electro-optical systems, and guided ammunition kits.
