Born in Madrid in 1971.

Founder, along with his father and brother Javier, of the company Mecanizados Escribano in 1989. Ángel Escribano has been the chairman of EM&E Group.

He is responsible for the transformation of a small manual lathes machining workshop into a landmark group within the defence and security sectors, at both national and international levels. He has built a perpetually growing group with a high degree of productive capacity and cutting-edge technologies, investing heavily in R+D+i.

Ángel Escribano, along with his brother Javier, is the architect of the reshaping of a company that grew from manufacturing mechanical parts according to third-party specifications to now designing, developing and manufacturing complex defence systems such as remote-control weapon stations, electro-optical systems and guided ammunition kits. More than thirty years since its foundation, EM&E Group is defined by its continuous and constant evolution and growth based on innovation and the creation of new developments and technologies, which has contributed to the creation of employment, profit and industrial return. EM&E Group has a strong international presence and consolidation, with an export ratio of more than 50% of its turnover, while it has also strengthened its national presence in Spain, participating in the country’s largest defence and security programmes.

EM&E Group has witnessed an unprecedented increase in its production and technological capacities in Spain, and an rise in highly qualified recruitment of over 35% per annum in the last 10 years. It currently has more than 1,300 employees (40% of whom are women, a figure well above the average for the sector), with a turnover of 320 million euros in 2024 and an investment in R&D&I that has grown by more than 120% since 2020 (11 million euros in 2024).

Ángel Escribano has worked in virtually every operational area of the company, completing his training in different departments, from CNC machine operation to commercial management, as well as different tasks in operations planning and quality management.

Strategic participation in other companies

• Stake in the capital of TESS DEFENCE, S.A. (50% jointly with his brother Javier Escribano Ruiz), where he is a member of the Board of Directors.
• 40% stake in the capital of the company SMS (50% jointly with his brother Jasvier Escribano Ruiz), where he is a member of the Board of Directors.
