Minsait's early detection system enables real-time detection of spills, reducing the environmental impact of these leaks on the marine ecosystem

We incorporated the environmental monitoring function in maritime traffic management (VTMS) with Onesait Oil&Gas Environment (formerly HEADS), a unique technology in the world developed jointly with Repsol that already operates in several refineries to detect in a few minutes and without human intervention small spills on the sea surface.

The system makes it possible to detect in a few minutes and without human intervention small spills on the sea surface.

The system makes it possible to automatically detect hydrocarbon leaks from port control centers in just a few minutes. Thanks to the use of artificial intelligence algorithms, it is capable of detecting volumes ranging from 10 to 20 liters in just a few minutes, providing detailed information in real time to streamline resource management, as well as monitoring and containment of the spill.

This technological solution is an illustrative example of how technology developed in the field of security and defense for image processing and information from radars, cameras, AIS and other sensors, can be transferred to the civilian field to generate a positive impact: in this case to improve environmental sustainability.
