Description of the Projecto
The objective of the EDOCC project is to provide solutions for multi-domain collaboration. Taking into account the diversity of the operational requirements at strategic, operational and tactical levels, M-DOC will not build identical cloud infrastructures due to constraints such as environment, connectivity, resources and others, therefore a suitable approach is needed to address specificities of these levels.
The EDOCC project is addressing all requirements posed by the military multi-domain operations cloud and is focusing on delivering the following main components:
- A European Open Virtual platform that will support the multi-domain cloud construction and will provide military IT solutions elaborated from civilian technologies.
- A catalogue of products and services developed during the project will combine national and multi-national solutions meeting standards of a multi-domain operations cloud. On top of that, EDOCC aims to natively develop dedicated services federated by design. This catalogue will allow customers to implement or upgrade their own federated and interoperable systems.
- The platform, products and services will be designed in a modular way in order to accommodate specific requirements from Member States.
EDOCC will rely on four pillars: IT environment, operational services, secure communications services and cybersecurity.
