Project Description
The objective of the IMPONET project is to develop Indra´s future energy remote management platform, and this project includes the development of the platform´s Phase II.
It also includes identifying the energy market´s requirements that accompany the incorporation of new concepts: smart grid, smart metering, demand management and monitoring the grid in real time.
To reach this objective, the IMPONET project will focus on designing and implementing a flexible and configurable system that will address the needs of this market.
Collaborating Companies or Organisations
Indra's Role
Indra Software Labs is the leader on a national and international level, as well as of the project´s technical coordination committee.
Indra Software Labs
Technical and business requirements.
- Defining requirements according to the project´s conceptual design. These requirements must cover the expected functionality for the complete solution.
- It will participate in defining the lines of action for the remaining phases.
Defining the system´s architecture and the functional framework.
- Participating in the object definition of the task and it will assess the existing technologies for Remote Control and Smart Metering platforms.
- It will prepare the functional design of these items.
Remote control and Smart Metering platforms.
- Developing the Data Exchange and Energy Results modules, based on the SOA paradigm. CMMi3 methodology will be used.
System integration, testing and demonstration.
- Participating as an integrator of the Remote Control and Smart Metering Platform modules, performing the necessary tests for ensuring their operation.
- Designing and executing functional and technical tests in order to test the prototype with actual data that is sent and received from field devices.
Distributing, standardising and using the results.
- Participating in the distribution and presentation of non-confidential results at major international events, seminars, expositions and workshops.
Managing the consortium and coordinating the project.
- The role of project leader entails the functions of Management Committee and Coordinator.
Indra Sistemas
Technical and business requirements.
- Defining high level requirements, use cases and application scenarios, lines of action and system requirements, focusing on the Advanced Communications and Smart System modules.
Defining the system´s architecture and the functional framework.
- It will participate in assessing the existing technologies, analysing the critical interactions, functional framework and architecture specifications.
Remote control and Smart Metering platforms.
- Developing the Remote Control and Smart Metering Platform, based on the SOA paradigm. CMMi3 methodology will be used.
System integration, testing and demonstration.
- It will participate in the integration and system tests, field tests, assessment, lines of action and recommendations.
Distributing, standardising and using the results.
- Participating in the distribution activities with the aim of maintaining industry members and professionals from the energy sector continuously informed through meetings and specific workshops, conferences and events.
Managing the consortium and coordinating the project.
- As the project leader on a national level, it will participate in planning, scheduling, communication and meetings, progress reports, quality management, control and monitoring.
