Description of the Project
The project METABUILDING gathers 16 European partners joining forces to provide innovation support to SMEs from 6 European countries (Austria, Italy, France, Hungary, Portugal and Spain). Its objective in to bring innovation to the “traditional” value chain of the Construction sector and expand it to other industries, to create an enlarged Built Environment industrial sector, enabling interested SMEs to internationalise their activities and reach European markets.
The project will finance 140 SMEs with a total of 3.75M €, so as to boost collaborative innovation projects that focus on cross-sectoral collaboration of SMEs belonging to the Construction Sector with SMEs belonging to one of the following industrial sectors:
- Additive Manufacturing Sector
- Nature Based Solutions
- Circularity & Recycling Industries
- Digital Industrial Sector
To support and manage such an innovation ecosystem, the METABUILDING project will establish a Digital Open Innovation Platform, the METABUILDING platform - open to all stakeholders of the enlarged Built Environment sector, helping SMEs to find partners for collaborative projects, innovative technologies, and information about funding available for SME innovation.

Minsait is one of the technological partners of the consortium.
Its main activities are to:
- Provide sectorial knowledge related with the digitalization of the construction sector
- Provide technical knowledge in the platform architecture definition
- Participate in the functional definition of the different modules of the platform
- Support SME’s in their innovation projects
