Project Description
The SCIIMS programme is focused on fighting against organised crime in the specific area of Human Trafficking and Illegal Immigration. The programme covers the following areas:
- Developing an application about information processing techniques that will allow it to be merged and shared, both on a national as well as international level, through a secure infrastructure that meets the needs of European crime and immigration information agencies.
- Developing and applying tools to assist with decision making that will allow to study and analyse sources, events and ties between organised crime and human trafficking and illegal immigration.
- Improving and using existing products for developing and adding new functionalities (beyond those that already exist) in a base product with the objective of accelerating the introduction of new innovative techniques, technologies and systems in order to improve the capacities of European agencies in the fight against organised crime.
