Project Description
The Smart Government project aims to address a crucial area within the Smart Cities, the area of government administration or e-Administration, which focuses on the goal of "zero paper", in increasing efficiency in the provision of services and in the simplification and automation of administrative procedures. Therefore, the final objective is developing an information system responsible for the direction and management of the city.
This project will rely on the tools and information shared by Smart Cities to provide cities with a “as a service” platform that allows them to intelligently manage their assets and activity with a semantic data model that faithfully represents the city and its assets, serving for the analysis and decision making and allowing automating processes to be more efficient to improve citizens´ lives: Smart Government.
The overall objective of this project is to transform the management of cities through the interaction and analysis of different sources of information in real time and the Internet of Things (IoT), allowing different government agents and public-private entities to collaborate with each other to innovate new products and services adapted to the current demanded needs. The project will develop and demonstrate new technological concepts and advanced applications aimed at optimizing the management of cities' governance and their relationship with citizens in an efficient manner.
Collaborating Companies or Organisations
Indra's Role
Indra Soluciones Tecnologías de la Información (Previously Tecnocom Telecomunicaciones y Energía S.A.) plays two roles in the project:
- Leader of the project, carrying out the overall coordination of the project and taking responsibility for the tasks related to the management of the project and the monitoring of the activities that were carried out.
- Analysis and construction of prototypes associated with three vertical applications (intelligent budget, administrative management and economic management). Their purpose is to have decision-making tools for administration, in terms of investment in infrastructure, provision of services, provision of economic resources in the social field, etc…
Univesities and technologies centers
Technologies used
- Big Data and Analytics tools for the manipulation and storage of a large volume of information extracted from different sources. Information is the fundamental element for intelligent management.
- Applications and databases that facilitate the management of geographic information at all levels. The geo-positioning of the information facilitates the static analysis of the situation of the territory and the dynamic analysis, with the historical information managed, of the evolution of the variables analyzed in.
- Visual tools that allow all types of users to access the services offered by the platform, without needing advanced knowledge or complex training to interact with the system.
