Project Description
TRAM is an experimental development project, which aims developing a solution to manage rehabilitation of patients with any kind of motor dysfunction and to monitor its status and evolution, both in the hospital and at home.
Its integral character is based on two aspects: the first of them, the fact that it acts on the whole body (upper and lower limbs, trunk and neck); and the second one, that it is not limited to the physical dimension, and also helps to reinforce emotional and social aspects of rehabilitation processes, increasing patient motivation and improving communication between patients and their environment (with clinical professionals, family, other patients…).
Also, the system minimizes current weaknesses of rehabilitation treatment, because of the fact that it proposes adaptations to assigned therapies in order to improve the efficiency of the process.
