  •  With this solution the company promotes more efficient and sustainable transport means
  • The IT multinational reinforces its commitment to clients by providing technology

Indra, the premier IT Company in Spain and a leading IT multinational in Europe, will attend GENERA, the energy and environment international trade fair. It will present a demo consisting of a smart recharge device for the electric car and its management and control platform. GENERA will take place from 11 to 13 of May in Madrid. The event is organised by IFEMA in collaboration with The Spanish Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE).

Indra will be present at the ZONA MOVELE, a space dedicated to electric mobility and promoted by IDAE. The space offers a perspective of the electric mobility industry in close connection with renewable energies.

Indra’s role in the deployment of the electric car is within its commitment to smart infrastructures technologies oriented to energy efficiency and sustainability, mainly in the development of new solutions for SMART GRIDS. In this sector the company is involved in outstanding R&D+i projects including the development of end-to-end solutions for the necessary technological infrastructures to charge the vehicle.

Besides this and in compliance with its sustainability and environmental policies the company integrated the security, communications and measurement requirements in a low-cost device: GRAI. It consists of an indoor car park recharge management system which guarantees energy efficiency and the provision of new added value services.

GRAI manages direct coupling of electric vehicles. It was specially designed to simplify and reduce costs when using domestic charging points or the associated infrastructure. It can be applied to power management in indoor car parks, either pubic or private. This multi protocol device identifies users and is equipped with a bipolar connection-disconnection system including pilot wire regulator management and connection detection.

The device incorporates all the necessary features to recharge the electric vehicle. It manages users’ identification through RFID card, vehicle authentication, consumption of electric energy, security norms, communications with the electricity network; and the supply of added value services. The objective of the company was to integrate all the functions and security requirements in a single device in order to reduce the price for the user.
The IT multinational will also exhibit at the event a platform to manage and control the charging devices (GECORVEL). It is an open and scalable platform capable of providing services to an emerging market. Its structure and architecture will be able to meet new needs as well as the integration with external factors and business management systems.
