Indra, one of the leading IT multinationals in Europe and Latin America, has just inaugurated a new office in Rio de Janeiro in order to provide support to its operations in Brazil. With this new office the company reaffirms its commitment to the country, since it offers great opportunities in all the markets where Indra operates.
This is the 6th office set up in Brazil. It will strengthen Indra’s position in different business areas and will improve its response and adaptation capacity to the specific demands of clients.
Besides this, Indra will reinforce its relationship with universities and research centres in order to build the solid grounds for the development of technical skills and programmes to attract young professionals.
The company is based in São Paulo (SP) and has premises in Barueri/ Alphaville (São Paulo (SP); a software factory in Campinas (São Paulo) dedicated to the development of solutions for energy and utilities firms; offices in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais) and another head office in Brasilia for the development of solutions oriented to Public Administrations and Healthcare.
The new office meets the highest quality standards established by Indra in terms of architecture, technology infrastructure, safety and sustainability.

The Spanish company has also signed a contract with the Brazilian Navy to implement a satellite communications system on its flagship aircraft carrier Sao Paulo.
Regarding traffic, Indra, in cooperation with local firm Esteio, was awarded the implementation of the toll systems in three important stretches of a motorway in the south of the country and the installation of smart traffic management systems in one of the stretches. Both companies will also design and start up a metropolitan traffic management system in Curitiba, capital city of Paraná.
