  • The company has positioned itself as a technological partner of Ence, the leading European producer of pulp

Indra has signed a contract with Ence Energía y Celulosa to re-engineer the processes of its business units and corporate areas by implementing the SAP ERP as the method for streamlining this change. The project will make it possible to simplify, standardise and improve the management efficiency of the company's resources by applying the best practices of the sector and the industry.

The project scope covers its three business units (Pulp, Forest and Energy) as well as all the operations processes (Purchasing and Supplies, Production, Warehouse Maintenance and Sales) and corporate processes within the company (Finance, Management Control, Treasury).

During the project, Indra will provide all the capabilities of its service offering that cover the complete life cycle of a systems project: project management, process consulting for their review and redesign, the implementation of manufacturer solutions, and specifically in this case, of the SAP back-office processes (FI, TRM, CO, MM, WM, PM, PP, SD) and reporting (SAP-BI/BO), along with the use of GIS tools linked to the forest business.

In parallel, Indra will train the work team designated by Ence, applying an innovative development focus of their capabilities in line with the project's needs and leading the documentation and training strategy, which are key elements for the success of a transformation project this extensive.

Ence's agreement with Indra also includes application maintenance during the two years after the project enters production.

With this contract, Indra has positioned itself as a technological partner of ENCE, becoming a reference for this type of initiative within the process industry, where it already has key customers for major transformation projects in Spain as well as Latin America.
