Indra, the leading technological multinational in Spain and one of the most prominent in Europe and Latin America, is presenting its latest innovations and most advanced solutions for the rail sector at Innotrans, the industry's most important international fair taking place in Berlin on September 23-26.
At its booth, the company is displaying its innovative technological platform for railroad safety, InVITALRAIL (developed in-house). The result of a major focus on R+D+i, InVITALRAIL integrates both the most advanced hardware and systems for automatic train protection (ATP), ERTMS level 2, centralized traffic control (CTC) and on-track security sensor concentrators.
Conceived as a modular and open security platform, unlike previous platforms in the market, it supports the integration of commercial solutions from different suppliers and houses both on-board and on-track signaling systems. It also meets the most stringent quality standards, with all systems being awarded SIL 4 security certification, the highest certification level available in the rail industry.
At Berlin, Indra is also presenting the RBC system, the primary infrastructure equipment and cornerstone of level-2 ERTMS system. The new RBC by Indra is ready to implement and has been granted CETREN's interoperability certificate.
DaVinci, leading railroad management platform
The latest version of the DaVinci system, the most advanced rail traffic management platform in operation in the world, can also be seen at Innotrans. The system, developed by Indra and the intellectual property of Adif, is already controlling Spain's high-speed network (about 3,000 km) as well as rail networks in Lithuania and Morocco. The 500 km Mecca-Medina high-speed link will also be under its control, as well as the near 2,000 km of rail to be covered by the Turkish high-speed network in forthcoming years.
Technology for stations, telecommunications, access control, payment systems and ticketing completes Indra's offer in Berlin. At the booth you can see one of Indra's latest ticket machines.
