Project Description
Project Description
The project objective is:
- To develop risk assessment tools for identifying weaknesses in power distribution grids and power production plants.
- To develop tools for protecting these critical infrastructures from cascade effects and from deliberate acts of terrorism and sabotage.
- To perform a contingency analysis of the distribution grids and to plan the automatic smart restoration and reconfiguration in the event of a failure in parts of the grid.
The project is divided into the following activities or Work Packages (WP):
- WP1: Vulnerability Identification & Management.
- WP 2: Impact Assessment.
- WP 3: Technology Transfer & Policy Support.
- WP 4: System Specification of Decision Support System.
- WP 5: Assembling of DSS – Software Development.
- WP 6: Trial Application 1 – Authority Perspective.
- WP 7: Trial Application 2 – TSO Perspective.
- WP 8: Project Management.
- WP 9: Dissemination.
Collaborating Companies or Organisations
Indra's Role
Indra is the project´s technological partner and is responsible for the following activities:
- WP4 - System Specification of Decision Support System. Indra participates in the design of this Decision Support System.
- WP5-Assembling of DSS – Software Development. Indra leads this activity in which the system that houses the models and algorithms developed in previous activities is built.
- WP9-Dissemination. Indra participates in this activity of disseminating the project results.
Universities and Technological Centres
Technologies used
In order to build the Decision Support System, we will base ourselves on a project that is already operational at some of our customers and which must be developed to cover the project needs. Initially, the .NET architecture will be used.
