Project Description
Development of a smart prioritization system by time, frequency, mode of operation and its component elements.
This functionality of the systems will be more flexible and able to continuously measure and estimate the state of the radio spectrum, can conform their emissions based on the observed means of accessing the cognitive and adaptive way.
As a result, there will be developed a simulator to analyze and optimize the interoperability between communications systems and sensors in critical radio environments.
Finally, the project will apply the developed tools and the obtained results to study and optimize the interoperability of future systems and sensors integrated.
Collaborating Companies or Organisations
Indra's Role
Leader and project coordinator.
Indra provides the features and requirements of systems and sensors that supply information to the smart prioritization system BRAINS.
Indra will deliver needed hardware for the simulator.
The study aimed Indra reach a solid understanding of these materials for commercial application.
The forecast is that Indra systems will be able to make use of this technology, for example, by providing any on board sensors suite of platforms, this would raise its performance level.
Long term, the knowledge and developed techniques will resolve similar problems in the civil and the "intelligent buildings" or "smart cities", therefore within the scope of "dual technologies”.

More information
Systems integration to converge into a single governed super-system, which gives a coherent joint response of all sensors, is a critical step in equipping platforms with multiple sensors and in ensuring interoperability.
This provides to the integrated sensors capabilities needed to ensure interoperability between subsystems and critically improve the performance of them, improving the overall result and enabling collaborations and partnerships between these subsystems.
