Cáceres has been chosen to host the Spanish Nuclear Society's 38th Annual Meeting, which will take place from October 17 to 19. The event will be held at Cáceres Conference Centre and will include not only an intense technical programme but also social and cultural activities at some of the city's most emblematic locations. The meeting will analyse the current situation of nuclear energy and its future challenges.

The congress has an average attendance of some 600 experts, participating in plenary sessions, monographic sessions and "Learn more about..." courses to update their knowledge of aspects of the nuclear industry of interest to professionals. The technical sessions will allow the majority of the attendees to have the opportunity to present the work they have carried out in relation to significant projects, scientific facts and the advances made in the various areas over course of the last year. There will also be a commercial trade fair to enable domestic and international companies and entities to present their products, technological advances and services.
