The 11th International Symposium on Protection against Chemical and Biological Warfare Agents will be held from 3 to 5 June in Stockholm, Sweden, as a meeting point to treat some of the threats currently most feared in conflicts. Accordingly, the event will include the attendance of scientists and directors of civil and military emergency plans, companies and other agents involved in national security.

In addition to exhibitions, conferences, presentations and debates, the event will cover aspects of great importance, such as new threats and risks, the detection, identification and monitoring of chemical and biological agents, the management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNe) crises, medical management, physical protection, technologies under development and demilitarisation aspects.

Indra has recently completed the development of a CBRNe threat recognition vehicle. The system allows specialists to access contaminated areas in order to detect and identify possible contaminants in safe conditions. This R&D project was undertaken with the support of the CDTI (Centre for Industrial Technological Development).
