The Aerophotogrametric Service of the Chilean Air Force (SAF), organizes the Second Version of the Latin American Remote Sensing Week (LARS) 2013, with the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). The event will present the most recent technological advances in Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Geographic Information Systems and Spatial Data Processing, and will spread between the attendees the different applications for land management, environmental conservation, evaluation and disaster management and sustainable development.
LARS will be held in the Extension Center of Universidad Católica of Chile, in Santiago, between October 23d and 25th 2013. Its program includes workshops, plenary sessions, presentations, industry demonstrations or special technical activities. With the tittle "Planet Earth: Building Dynamic Processes for a Sustainable Future ", the Fair will invite us to analyze from a scientific and technological perspective the role that Remote Sensing has in the scientific knowledge generation, management planning and environmental protection. Also the attendees will have the opportunity to visit the city of Santiago and travel to San Pedro de Atacama as part of the social and cultural activities associated to the event.
