Indra’s Board of Directors has appointed Cristina Ruiz Ortega as Executive Director of the Company. She will be responsible for the IT business reporting directly to the Chairman and CEO, Fernando Abril-Martorell.
Thus, the Company faces its new Strategic Plan 2018-2020, by adapting its management structure to the company’s organizational structure, with all the IT activities under a new subsidiary.
The heads of the T&D markets (which comprise Defense and Security, Transport and Air Traffic Management) will report directly to the Chairman and CEO.
The new management structure implies the disappearance of the COO position. As a result, Javier de Andrés who held that position, leaves the Company.
Cristina Ruiz Ortega (47) has a degree in Business and Economics. She has pursued her professional career in operations and information systems consulting, holding a number of different positions at companies in the field. She joined Indra in 2011 as Energy Market Vice President and was appointed Deputy Executive Vice President with responsibility for the Consulting, Energy, Telecommunications and Media businesses in January 2013. She is currently in charge of Minsait and the IT verticals. She has a high level of knowledge and a successful experience in managing teams and business, as well as developing cutting-edge business.
