Indra bolsters its capacity for growth in Africa with its new office in Rabat

This opening is further proof of the company's commitment to Morocco's potential, where Indra has been operating for over 20 years.

Opportunities are emerging in Morocco across markets where Indra has already implemented emblematic air traffic, transport and security projects, and even more extensively in markets such as the Information Technology sector, which is driven by the Morocco Digital 2020 Strategy, particularly in light of Indra's position as an IT bellwether in Spain and Latin America, and the company's leadership in providing digital transformation products and solutions.

Moroccan and Spanish political and institutional leaders attended the inauguration event for Indra's new office together with prominent figures from the world of finance and business.

One of Indra's prominent projects already carried out in Morocco is the technological implementation of Da Vinci technology for comprehensive railroad traffic management in the country's railroad network.

The company has also been collaborating with the Moroccan Airports Authority (ONDA) for over a decade to permanently modernize the country's air traffic management systems.

Indra has an important position in the Maghreb, where it promotes technology projects in countries such as Algeria, Libya and Tunisia in fields ranging from sea, air and railroad traffic to the public administration digitization and energy management improvement.

Leadership in Africa

Indra has been operating in Africa since 1995, with offices in Morocco, Algeria, Kenya, Libya, Senegal, Mozambique, South Africa and Zambia. Its solutions operate in most of the countries with leading projects in key markets throughout the continent's economy.

Still in Kenya, Indra has conditioned the air traffic control training center, the East African School of Aviation. Nigeria's largest airline company (Arik) has also implemented Indra's revenue accounting solutions, and South Africa's leading airline company (SAA) has opted for Indra technology to increase online visibility and move forward digitally.

Indra has likewise incentivized the main modernization processes in public administrations such as the project for the Algerian General Tax Directorate (DGI), assisted in the financial management of Zambia by implementing a SAP-based IFMS, and carried out activities at the African Union's headquarters in Addis Ababa. The company also has relevant security projects in the Maghreb, South Africa and East Africa.
