Indra thus becomes one of the first Ibex 35 technological and consultancy companies to obtain this certification, which assists in generating trust and constitutes an acknowledgment of Indra’s efforts to prioritize and adopt the best national and international practices with regard to compliance, corporate governance, social responsibility and business ethics.

AENOR has awarded Indra this certification after conducting a thorough audit involving all the company’s corporate departments and several business units, led by the Compliance Unit.

Indra’s strengths highlighted in AENOR’s Audit Report include the organization's approach to risk and its integration into its processes, together with the crime prevention model, as well as the attractive and dynamic training in Ethics and Compliance provided to all the company’s professionals.

Indra’s Criminal Risk Prevention Model, endorsed by prestigious international law firms, is constantly updated in accordance with the most stringent national and international standards and its elements and internal regulations are continuously adapted to Indra’s corporate processes and business areas.

Culture of integrity and transparency

Indra has significantly enhanced its compliance culture in recent years, placing particular emphasis on values such as integrity, responsibility and transparency. In this regard, it has made great headway in the design and dissemination of a new corporate culture, with full regulatory compliance and zero tolerance towards irregularities and corruption.

The Compliance Unit, which, since 2015, has directly and exclusively reported to the Audit and Compliance Committee of Indra’s Board of Directors to guarantee its independence, has launched numerous initiatives having an impact in this field. These include the implementation of different training initiatives concerning Ethics and Compliance and dissemination aimed at all the professionals at the company with the full involvement of Senior Management, as well as the creation of a blog entitled Do the right thing to popularize the guidelines and good practices taken from the Code of Ethics and Legal Compliance among all Indra’s professionals in a practical and simple manner.

It has also promoted the use of the Direct Channel among its professionals, a confidential notification channel by means of which any professional, partner or third party can raise their queries regarding the interpretation of the Code of Ethics and Legal Compliance or report any irregularity they become aware of. As a result of these endeavors and the greater confidence of the professionals in Indra’s compliance mechanisms, the number of notifications received via the Direct Channel has increased by more than 41.5% over the last year.
