  • Under a secure cloud computing model, the company will manage the technological platform for human resources, economic-financial and income management with the aims of improving decision-making by means of real-time analytics and facilitating teleworking via the Council staff’s mobile devices
Madrid City Council

Minsait, an Indra company, has signed a five-year contract worth 29.2 million euros with the Madrid City Council's IT provider Informática de Ayuntamiento de Madrid (IAM) in order to migrate, update and manage the technological platform that supports its economic-financial, income and human resource management under a secure cloud computing model.

The service to be provided by Minsait will be carried out in the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) solution and will seek to reduce the response and information processing time required in the work of the City Council’s staff, improving the their experience by means of the potential for working on the move that the cloud offers, and streamlining the procedures related to how taxpayers pay their taxes.

With this project, the municipal managers will promote an ambitious plan for the digital transformation of their services to facilitate cost reductions, incorporating real-time analytics of the management indicators to accelerate decision-making and encouraging teleworking for civil servants, who will perform their duties via mobile devices or at external facilities.

Similarly, the new platform will increase the availability of services for citizens in accordance with the current regulations and the features brought about by the evolution of the electronic public administration, including multi-channel and access from multiple devices.

Minsait will undertake all the installation, configuration, commissioning and system administration tasks (including the specialized SAP technical support) and the operation and maintenance and provide the technical support required for the migration to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC).

Minsait’s e-government solutions allow citizens and corporations to interact with their government agencies in a streamlined manner via multiple channels, leading to 70% savings in implementation and maintenance costs and a 30% reduction in terms of the time and paper used in the processing of cases, thanks to an efficient digital transformation.
Furthermore, they facilitate a closer relationship with citizens and enhance their participation in public initiatives, improving accessibility to the Public Administration and the daily work of civil servants.

The company has carried out more than 700 electronic administration projects in over 26 countries and more than 250,000 public officials interact with proprietary or third-party solutions implemented by Minsait.
