Indra, one of the leading global technology and consultancy companies, has obtained the QA (Quality Assessment) certification for its Internal Audit activity, which confirms that Indra complies with the “International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing”, issued by The Institute of Internal Auditors”–US (IIA Global).
Indra has achieved the highest qualification, “Generally complies with the Regulations of the Code of Ethics of the IIA”, after an exhaustive audit carried out by an independent third party. This result shows that the regulations and procedures of Indra’s internal audit practices are in line with the best international practices of IIA Global, which are acknowledged and accepted by the most important international organizations, such as the OECD, the IMF and the World Bank.
The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is an international professional association with more than 200,000 members in over 170 countries, which has positioned itself as the world leader in matters such as auditing, best practice guides, certification, education, research and development, as well as guidance related to the internal audit profession.
Achieving its QA certification for Internal Audit means an acknowledgment of Indra’s commitment to transparency, constant improvement, professionalism in the Audit role and making an effort to adopt the best corporate governance practices.
Risk Management System
In addition to the QA certification for its Internal Audit, Indra has a certified Risk Control and Management System. Indra has recently become the first Ibex 35 company to obtain the Risk Management certification to the ISO 31000 standards, which confirm that Indra’s system complies with the principles and best practices in this area.
