Description of the Project
PLATOON pretends to deploy distributed/edge processing and data analytics technologies for optimized real-time energy system management in a simple way for the energy domain expert.

Indra will deploy and validate in field demonstrators its framework for assets intelligence APM (Assets Performance Management).
This framework based on the latest Big Data analysis and IoT management technologies allows the continuous monitoring of the health index and performance of extensive deployments of generation and grid assets.
This continuous monitoring, estimation and prediction of the assets health and performance, allows optimizing Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and performance by re-defining maintenance plans and prioritizing investment decisions at the same time that avoids failures before they actually happen maximizing power reliability.
This framework is made up of three different functional modules: Predictive Monitoring, Performance Monitoring and Health Index and Life Cycle Cost.
It also has mechanisms for the real time capture of field signals and their integration in big data databases and a powerful user interface which allows the creation of intelligent control panels for the monitoring of signals and business processes.
In order to enable real time monitoring over extensive and distributed deployments of assets, Minsait proposes the application and implementation of novel Edge and IT Real Time Data Integration technologies allowing in the field, close to the asset, cost-effective real time data integration, processing and even local health monitoring and control.
Based on its experience, Indra will also be deeply involved in the definition tasks, specifying Technological and functional requirements.
During the demonstration phase, Minsait will be installing, running the platforms and leading the evaluation of the business case for this Big Data platforms and technologies.
