Indra Group has once again been recognized as one of the world’s leading companies with regard to sustainability, according to S&P Global’s prestigious annual sustainability report titled The Sustainability Yearbook 2025.
The company excels as the only company in the IT Services sector to have remained in a leading position for five years in a row in this yearbook, a global benchmark for sustainability aspired to by more and more companies worldwide which is upgraded each year with increasingly complex and demanding requirements.
Based on the valuations of 7,690 companies from around the world, only 780 of which have been included in the exclusive yearbook, Indra Group, the only Ibex 35 company to feature among the leaders this year, is at the forefront of the IT Services sector.
To become part of this exclusive global ranking, Indra Group was awarded 100 points in key areas such as transparency and reporting, business ethics, tax strategy and risk management. In the environmental field, Indra Group achieved the highest score in energy efficiency (100 points) and performed well in its climate strategy, thanks to its commitment to decarbonization and bringing forward its emission reduction targets by 10 years in order to neutralize them in its operations by 2030 and in the value chain by 2040.
In social terms, it lies within the 100th percentile by virtue of obtaining the highest score in labor practices and privacy protection and occupying an excellent position in terms of occupational health and safety. Its work in attracting and retaining talent is also outstanding.
“At Indra Group we’re well aware that, in order to achieve sustainable development, it’s vital to curb climate change and protect our environment, but also improve the safety and well-being of citizens. We’re therefore firmly committed to driving sustainable innovation through our solutions and developing technologies that contribute to a safer world and display greater respect for the planet”, declared Manuel Ausaverri, Indra’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and head of the group’s sustainability area.
The Sustainability Yearbook bases its analysis on the public information of the assessed companies and on the exhaustive and prestigious S&P CSA (Corporate Sustainability Assessment), which, with more than 16,500 data points, is also used to compile the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) in which Indra has been listed for 19 years in a row. The DJSI requires a minimum market capitalization, which is why The Sustainability Yearbook opens up the competition to other smaller companies, hence the larger scope of participation.
Sustainability-related acknowledgments
As well as appearing in the DJSI, Indra Group has been a part of the FTSE4Good index for many years, it has an AA rating in the MSCI-ESG index drawn up by Morgan Stanley and it has received a platinum medal from Ecovadis, the highest rating granted by this platform specializing in evaluating the sustainability of companies (a factor increasingly taken into account by customers), which places Indra in the 99th percentile, ahead of other companies in its sector. As for the Sustainalytics Index, it has included Indra Group in the Industry Top Rated category as one of the best ESG-rated companies in the Software and IT Services sector.
Indra Group has once again been named by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) as one of the leading companies in the fight against climate change (with “A List”, the highest possible rating), thanks to the company’s multiple efforts in this field and its contribution of solutions with an impact on areas such as sustainable mobility, energy efficiency and environmental protection. The technological group has also just been included in the “World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025” ranking, drawn up by the American Time magazine and the Statista market research company, as one of the best companies in the world when it comes to sustainable growth.
