Indra, the premier IT company in Spain and a leading IT multinational in Europe has been acknowledged with the European Partner of the Year Award by Cisco. The winners were revealed at The Cisco Partner Summit 2011, held in New Orleans on March 10th.
The award represents an acknowledgment to the IT company’s commitment to use technology to meet its clients’ needs by specialising in critical technologies and succeeding in achieving customer satisfaction and quality in delivered projects.
The significant results obtained from the alliance between Indra and Cisco to cooperate in the investigation and development of new technologies and projects of defence and security were also highly valued. Among these projects we should mention the development of the integration system and the communication management system for the military emergency unit (UME).
In addition to this, the IT company received Cisco’s highest certifications in nine areas: Corporate Networks, Unified Communications, Wireless Solutions, Data Centre Infrastructure, Network Security, Contact Centre and Integrated Communications Systems.
Cisco Partner Summit global awards were designed to recognize the exemplary channel partners who demonstrate best-in-class business practices and serve as a model to the industry. Areas of consideration include innovative practices, applications successes, unique programs, problem-solving and sales approaches. A group of Cisco Worldwide Channels and regional theatre executives selected all winners.
It is worth noting some of the projects where Indra has employed CISCO technology such as the implementation of wireless solutions in over 20 Spanish airports, the “Rivas 2010” project which includes the implementation of Information society by modernising the Town Council communications systems and the implementation of the latest generation of unified communications and mobility in the new hospitals of Castilla-La Mancha’s Health Care system (SESCAM).
