Indra, the premier IT company in Spain and a leading IT multinational in Europe, signed a strategic agreement with La Caixa for the provision of back-office technology services for the financial group. This way, the company becomes a long-term reference technology partner of the entity and reinforces its position in the provision of Business Process Outsourcing services for the financial sector.
With this alliance Indra, through its subsidiary Indra bmb leader in BPO, will undertake the edition, printing and finishing of the correspondence between La Caixa and its clients, who will benefit from Indra's experience and capacity. The services are expected to amount nearly € 80M for a 10-year period.
The agreement joins another contract between Indra and Inforsistem's shareholders- “La Caixa” (30%) and several private equity investors -for the integration of the Inforsistem into the technology multinational.
Inforsistem is one of the first three companies in its sector in Spain and owns the most advanced technology for mass printing: Full Colour Continuous which allows printing customised messages in colour for clients. Inforsistem provides services to companies and entities from different sectors and employs over 180 professionals and has three high technology centres located in Barcelona, Madrid and A Coruña. Sales in Spain this year are expected to reach nearly 18 million Euros.
This way, Indra reinforces its position as a technology partner in the provision of BPO services for large financial entities. Among the most recent contracts in this sector, we can mention the management of Caja de Ahorros de Navarra’s Back-Office and Telephone banking for a ten-year period and 100 million Euros as well as the management of the printing and finishing services for Banamex- Mexico’s second most important bank-for 37 million Euros and seven years.
