- Indra is launching GHybrid Cloud built on Google Cloud Platform, the first business platform as a service, after the inclusion of Indra in the Google for Work Partner program as a Google Technology Partner
- The goal is to facilitate the transition of applications to the Cloud and to offer new solutions, combining the advantages of public and private clouds
- The new offer will allow for optimizing resources and operating costs, automating processes and controlling information in a unified way
Indra has announced the launch of GHybrid Engine, the business platform that combines the cloud technology assets of both companies (Google Cloud Platform and the Indra GPaaS Cloud solutions suite) to offer their clients advanced solutions that bring together the advantages of the models supported by private and public clouds. This is the first offering by Indra since inclusion in the Google for Work Partner program as a Google Cloud Platform Technology Partner.
GHybrid Engine will offer services that ease the transition and adaptation of corporate applications to the Cloud, as well as the development in SaaS (Software as a Service) mode of new solutions designed to address specific needs. Through this offer, the clients may access a new, hybrid model that enables them to use both their own data centers as well as public servers as needed to move information and generate value, being able to automate monitoring and management.
Technological assets
Google Cloud Platform comprises a series of modular services based on Cloud models that allow from creating simple portals to the development of complex applications managed with powerful storage and computing capabilities. The GPaaS suite of assets comprises, amongst others, an infrastructure manager (iGIM) and a solutions marketplace (iGBC) that enable the deployment, execution and use of applications in the cloud as a service, rather than using traditional licensing models. It counts with special features, such as multi-tenancy (service provision to several clients from a single infrastructure), compatibility with standards, scalability, high-availability, monitoring, security and deployment capacities across several infrastructures (IaaS). Working together with Google implies combining GPaaS capabilities with Google Cloud Platform, one of the world's most popular.
Resource optimization and automation
Indra´s services/offering will provide small, medium and large enterprises the opportunity to optimize resources and operating costs, automate processes, control their own information in a unified way and increase their negotiation capacity through the transparent management of different public (Amazon Web Service, VMWare RackSpace, amongst others) and private clouds.
Practical examples of services offered are the unified management of Cloud providers to enable companies to choose the most advantageous one without the additional cost of infrastructure transportation, and the agile development of web process applications for small, medium and large enterprises. Another important service is the transformation to Cloud of applications that require resource optimization to guarantee their normal use in the event of peak access by users (for example, the rollout of a new product through advertising campaigns). Likewise, we intend to facilitate the use in SaaS (Software as a Service) mode of vertical open source applications like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal.
Indra completes the offer with its OpTImiza methodology, destined to help its clients define the best strategy for transformation to the Cloud, and for objectively classifying an organization's software solutions, through two key factors: the effort entailed by the transformation and the expected value (value acquired through the transformation).
This brings together all of the capacities of the companies to offer a comprehensive end2end offer of solutions and services including consulting, the transformation of applications and the development of new services and their operations.
One of the initial steps worth highlighting is Indra's participation last June 17th during the Google Cloud Platform Partner Meetup organized by Google at its offices in Milan, where the multinational consulting and technology firm presented itself for the first time as Google Technology Partner, and presented Google Partners and clients the GPaaS suite of products integrated with the Google Cloud Platform.
Over the course of years, both Google and Indra, independently, have been included by Gartner in various publications - in addition to the Magic Quadrant - in which the specialized consulting firm showcases the technological capacities of these companies as Cloud technology stack.
Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. It is estimated that it counts with over one million servers in its data centers around the world. According to figures from December 31, 2014, Google has 53,600 full-time employees and its consolidated income grew to $66 billion in fiscal year 2014.
