Indra to implement Duro Felguera’s new corporate systems platform with Oracle software for € 12m

Duro Felguera awarded Indra, the premier IT company in Spain and a leading multinational in Europe, the implementation of its new corporate systems platform with Oracle technology and applications for 12 million Euros.  The project aims at establishing a common model of operations for all the companies within the group to homogenise processes, communications between the societies and implement the best practices to support and boost growth of Duro Felguera especially in the international markets which generate over 90% of the order intake of the group.

The solution proposed by Indra integrates several Oracle solutions: ERP eBusiness Suite database, which includes modules of finance, logistics, sales, cash management and projects; PeopleSoft for human resources and payslip management as well as applications to manage the company’s performance (Hyperion); business intelligence and records management (UCM) and digitalisation. Besides meeting the management needs of Duro Felguera, the solution also allows progressive implementation of new modules.

This ambitious turnkey project of technological transformation will cover 62 societies, 13 countries and 2,000 employees. It comprises consultancy services, process mapping, supply, installation and startup of different solutions. In addition to this, maintenance will be provided from the company’s Software Lab in Gijon as well as training in English and Spanish for users.

For the project a team will be appointed consisting of employees from each company. Indra will destine 65 highly qualified professionals besides contributing its broad knowledge of technologies and solutions. We should also add the IT company’s experience in delivering this type of project for other businesses across the globe.
