The IT company will support the management of the communications group’s applications and IT infrastructures all over the world

Indra reinforces its position as a strategic IT services provider of large multinational corporations and strengthens its leadership in the media sector

Indra, the premier IT company in Spain and a leading IT multinational in Europe and Prisa, the first Communications group in the Spanish and Portuguese languages markets, signed an agreement which turns the IT company into the global technology partner of the group presided by Ignacio Polanco. The contract, which amounts to euros 260 M and is valid for seven years includes the management and operation of the IT environment within the areas of Education-Publishing, Press, Radio and Audiovisual of Grupo Prisa in Spain, Portugal and in more of the twenty countries where the group is present.

Indra will provide evolutive and corrective maintenance; and will undertake the development of any new project necessary for the evolution of the group's business activity. Besides this, the IT company will engage in the management and maintenance of the IT infrastructures.

This agreement aims at establishing a more efficient unified management model for the optimisation of resources and cost reductions by applying synergies while at the same time improving service quality and favouring interaction between Grupo Prisa and its clients.

The services will be provided from Indra’s offices in different locations or from Grupo Prisa’s facilities.

Indra has maintained a close relationship with Grupo Prisa for several years and has collaborated in the development of various projects, such as: the startup of the digital versions of El Pais and Cinco Días, the implementation of the corporate management systems and the operation of IT infrastructures.

With this contract Indra confirms its leadership in the media market. The technology company develops projects in the main groups of the sector of the print and broadcast media. Among its clients we can mention: Grupo Antena 3, Grupo RTVE, Telecinco, Grupo Sogecable, Telemadrid, Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals, Unidad Editorial, Vocento, Grupo Anaya, Grupo Endemol and Boomerang.
