Indra, one of the leading technology multinationals in Europe and Latin America, has signed two contracts with Brazil's Caixa Económica Federal to provide IT services for an estimated €37 million during a period of four years. The contracts include specialised technical services for the development and maintenance of information technology programs that will address the demands related to the product portfolio offered by the financial entity in two strategic business areas: loans & financing and risk management. Caixa Económica Federal, one of the largest banks in Brazil, is also the largest public bank in Latin America and has more than 58 million customers.

Aside from guaranteeing the operational stability of the systems related to these two areas for the Brazilian bank, the services provided by Indra will establish a sustainable and highly efficient business management model, favouring resource optimisation, improved service quality, lower operational costs and more competitiveness. Indra's professionals will work closely with the bank's teams and offer agile guaranteed technological support (for example, reducing the launch time for new bank products).

A multidisciplinary team from the technological multinational will work in the cities of Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, the bank's strategic headquarters, in order to establish a robust technical structure for addressing software development demands, executing corrective and developmental maintenance tasks, preparing support documentation and guaranteeing the operation and stability of the systems integrated in the financial entity's two areas. Indra will use a set of advanced technological tools (proprietary and third-party) to manage service levels, incidents, projects and quality tests.

Indra has been a technological partner of Caixa Económica Federal for more than ten years, and during this time it has executed projects in strategic sectors that include financial, credit and contact centre management. The new contracts consolidate the multinational's positioning with the financial entity and reinforce its leadership as an IT service provider for large financial institutions.

Indra works with financial entities in more than 20 countries and manages more than 90 types of business processes in this area. The company offers services that cover the banking industry's entire value chain, ranging from business and technological consultancy to the complete outsourcing of IT processes and management. In Latin America, Indra works with the top financial entities in each country, which represents approximately 40% of the total volume of bank assets in the region
