- The multinational will introduce its advances in the development of the iTEC air traffic management system
- It will display the result of its work within the European SESAR project
- The company will exhibit its innovative air control position and its extensive offering of Communication and Air Navigation (CAN) systems
Indra will present its most advanced air traffic management solutions at the 2013 World ATM Congress, the event that will bring together the global air traffic management sector in Madrid from the 12th to the 14th of February.
The company will use this forum to unveil its advances in the development of the SWIM system (System Wide Information Management), the future European aeronautical intranet. Indra works on this key system for the creation of the single European sky as part of the European SESAR programme.
In addition, the multinational will provide information about iTEC (Interoperability Through European Collaboration), the new generation system that will be used by air navigation service providers in Spain (AENA), Germany (DFS), the United Kingdom (UK) and Holland (LVNL) for managing air traffic. It will also transfer its partnership experience with the DFS to unify all its upper airspace control (UAC) into a single control centre in Karlsruhe.
In addition, Indra's stand will also display the state-of-the-art Indra Controller Working Position. This position includes a large screen that combines into a single environment all the information needed by controllers, allowing them to configure and adapt it to their needs.
Greater CAN offering
As part of its strategy to strengthen its global position as a Communication and Air Navigation systems provider, Indra will attend the 2013 World ATM Congress with an extensive offering of these types of systems.
Indra Navia experts will offer a demonstration of their recognised products GAREX SCV, NOVA TWR/APP/A-SMGCS, and NORMARC Navaids and GBAS.
Indra will also exhibit in its stand the solutions developed at its German centres. This past year, these centres have completed the transition of customer systems from more than 15 countries to the new 2012 Flight Plan of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). At the same time, work has continued on the development of AIM civil/military communications and OLDI integration, SWIM, aeronautical databases for the implementation of PBN (Performance Base Navigation), as well as Data Originators Upstream Portal. Indra will also display in its stand well-known products such as eWiz@rd Suite, AviSuite, and AxL.
Lastly, the company will participate in a SESAR JU demonstration of the advances made in the SWIM concept, and a company manager will present the conference "The New ATM Reality – If it were up to you, what would ATM look like in 2033?".
The number of countries where Indra has rolled out its air traffic and navigation systems recently surpassed 140. The company has, in total, set up over 3,000 facilities in five continents and has over 90 years experience in the sector.
Indra encourages all visitors to stop by its stand in Pavilion 9 of the IFEMA Convention Centre in Madrid.
