Toshiba TEC Spain Imaging Systems has reached an agreement with Indra, Spain's leading technology and consultancy multinational and one of the major players in Europe and Latin America, to implement IsoCloud, Indra's cloud solution for the administration of environmental and quality management systems. IsoCloud, which forms part of the multinational's InCloud solutions, has been developed with Indra's G@PaaS technology and provides organisations with support to obtain environmental management (ISO 14001) and quality management system (ISO 9001) certifications, with all the benefits of Cloud Computing models, such as cost reduction and increased efficiency.

The Spanish subsidiary of the Japanese company, which specialises in the marketing of digital printing products and solutions, multifunction products and document management solutions, is strengthening its commitment to improving efficiency in its quality assurance and environmental processes. Cost reduction, high availability and accessibility are some of the benefits that the company will reap through the adoption of this powerful tool. Its use does not entail any initial investment in licences or hardware or indeed in maintenance or user support.

Moreover, the professionals in the quality management and environmental areas of Toshiba TEC Spain Imaging Systems can use the service 24/7 from any point with internet access. They will also have immediate access to software updates and improvements at no extra cost. Another significant advantage is that it improves the traceability and information security of the company. Indra provides all the mechanisms required to guarantee network security, user identity and the management of access to the resources of the applications.

IsoCloud is offered in SaaS (Software as a Service) mode and groups 14 modules that provide an agile and simple solution to the characteristics required for compliance with the various applicable standards by means of three services: Integrated Management System, Quality Management System and Environmental Management System. The incorporation of Indra's G@PaaS technology facilitates the combined application of information extraction techniques and XML (Extensible Markup Language) in order to tackle structuring and integration tasks of heterogeneous information sources.

Toshiba TEC Spain Imaging Systems has been using Indra's services to maintain the validity of its quality and environmental certifications for more than four years. The implementation of IsoCloud represents a major challenge for the Spanish multinational as it incorporates the technological component into the sustainability consultancy services it has been providing for the subsidiary of the Japanese giant.

Consolidated solution

IsoCloud has consolidated its position as the benchmark solution for the improvement of the administration of the quality management and environmental systems of organisations. In little more than a year, the application has been adopted by more than 25 companies, including Quality Information Systems, Pressoil Ibérica, Protos Desarrollo, Atecalsa and the Colombian company Gestiona Bienestar. Moreover, Indra's experts are working on evolving it to provide support for other management systems, such as occupational health and safety (OSHAS) and energy efficiency (ISO 50001).

The tool forms part of the consultancy and technology multinational's new SaaS portfolio, which currently consists of more than 35 solutions that provide specific responses to specific business needs. Additionally, the company has signed agreements with numerous firms to use the marketplace model to sell their products.

At the cutting edge of Cloud services

Indra is at the cutting edge of Cloud Computing services and solutions thanks to its comprehensive offer, called Indra In Cloud, which encompasses the entire value chain of Information Technology services: from consultancy (helping customers optimise their capacities and minimise their costs) to the development of new solutions and the outsourcing of IT services.

One of the main objectives of the In Cloud solution is the development of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions that offer a specific response to specific business needs. To this end, Indra offers its customers a wide range of end-to-end solutions that are adapted and tailored to each sector (public administrations, healthcare, energy, financial services, industry, etc.), in order to increase the functionality of their IT infrastructure.

Commercial management via mobile devices, Open Government and geolocation platforms and tools to foster energy efficiency are just some of the many solutions in the multinational's new cloud range. In addition to IsoCloud, the SaaS portfolio currently includes more than 35 solutions, with more products to be gradually added in the future.
